We Are The Normal

Bucket list is such a depressing term.

” This is my bucket list, what I want to do before I kick the bucket.”

How about just saying this is my life list, things that I want to do eventually.

Who can say how long someone will live, why focus on dying? Why put an expiration date on yourself?

So I am making a list of things that I want to eventually do someday.

In printing, a cliché was a printing plate cast from movable type. This is also called a stereotype. When letters were set one at a time, it made sense to cast a phrase used repeatedly as a single slug of metal. “Cliché” came to mean such a ready-made phrase. The French word “cliché” comes from the sound made when the matrix is dropped into molten metal to make a printing plate.

His secret weapon on how to use clichés:

The effective way to use a cliché is to point to it and then do precisely the opposite. Juxtapose the cliché with the unexpected truth of what you have to offer. …. I often use the Encyclopedia of Clichés to find clichés that then inspire opposites.

Get things off of your chest. Talk to the people you love and tell them that you love them. Tell the sky to go fuck itself. Tell your parents you’re gay. Tell your parents you’re moving out. Tell your parents you love them dearly and appreciate everything they’ve done for you. Tell your friends you need them. Tell God you miss Him. Buy a cat and promise to never walk her. Get a girl you love and never let her go.

Just get these things off your chest. Because the longer they stay on there, the less likely you’ll be to say them the way you’d like to say them. Life is just life. There’s no good, there’s no bad, there’s just life. And there’s a lot to love in there.
